Cindy Hill is an artist based between Montreal (Canada) and Europe. Her work uses found objects and textiles to examine the relationship between our material world and perceptions of the body. Hill reflects on the history of health and sexuality amongst women, re-contextualizing objects used to treat and care for the body. Engaging with themes of intimacy, care, and desire, she draws from personal experiences to explore the complexities of bodily and feminist discourses.Hill holds an MFA from the University of Guelph and a BFA from Concordia University. She has also studied at the University of South Australia in Adelaide (AU). She has completed residencies at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York (USA), Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (FR), and at the London Summer Intensive hosted by the Camden Art Center and the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL in London (UK). 
Recent solo exhibitions include Mirror-Reverse at Pumice Raft in Toronto, and A bell I never hear at Centre Clark, Montreal (CA). Recent group exhibitions include Entanglements at MAMA Projects in New York (USA), Aujourd’hui je pleure parce que at Pangée, Montreal (CA), and Please be gentle at the Plumb in Toronto (CA). She is an upcoming artist-in-residence at Wiels in Brussels (BE) through the support of Aureus Ars & Scientia.
